The pros and cons of this Behringer Europort MPA40BT-PRO PA System
Pros:
- Bluetooth connectivity to devices
- Ease of use for new users
- Good sound quality for medium sized venues
Cons:
- Not as portable as buyers had assumed.
What advantages have users highlighted when reviewing this Behringer Europort Portable PA System?
There is a clear focus in the descriptions for this sound system on the Bluetooth capabilities. Did buyers know that they can connect this Bluetooth model to any Bluetooth enabled device? This is appealing because it provides that wireless connection to devices instead of a relying on to many wires and fiddly inputs at the back of the speaker.
This also streamlines the design of this single speaker system for improved appeal and ease of use. They promise that there is “no technical background required” and most would agree. Many set this up in all kinds of venues without much issue.
The other benefit here is the sound quality and consistency of the performance, which is essential for those with lots of performances booked in the diary. This Behringer Europort PA system isn’t going to offer the most professional sound or high volumes, but it does seem to meet that promise of medium sized venues with relative ease.
What problems have users experienced that limit the appeal of this Behringer MPA40BT-PRO Bluetooth PA System?
Then there is the portable nature. This is clear from the large suitcase-style handle at the back of the device and the small size, and there are understandable high expectations from buyers on the road a lot. However, this is where the PA speaker lets users down.
First of all, this handle is a little flimsy and some are worried that it is going to break on users before too long. It would also be much easier to transport this around with some wheels.
Again, that suitcase look is encouraging as there is the assumption that a couple of caster wheels would be part of the package. On the plus side, it is still pretty lightweight.
Summary: is this Behringer Europort MPA40BT-PRO still recommendable with this issue in mind?
It is clear where Behringer need to improve with this model, as only three of the four main requirements for musicians have been met. There are plenty of positive reviews on the technical spec and connectivity, it all comes comes together with relative ease for solo performances and the sound quality and volume meet most expectations.
Yet, the portability lets it down. The simple inclusion of a better handle and some wheels would go a long way to improving the overall satisfaction rating for this Behringer Europort PA System.
